Old Salt Tour

Golden Hinde

We’re delighted to be supporting bluegrass band Old Salt, who we met at a folk festival in Brno, on the London leg of their UK tour. They won the “European World of Bluegrass” award for 2017, and this will be their first time playing in the UK.

The first night will be on February 15 in Biddle Brothers in Hackney, and will be free entry. The night is run by the excellent Sad House Daddy, and we will be joined by Worldwide Welshman and Géronimo Chapeau. Details here.

The second will be on February 16 on the Golden Hinde, the galleon dry-docked near Tower Bridge, and will also feature Worldwide Welshman. Tickets are £7.50 in advance, and available here. Keep an eye on the Facebook event here.

‘Earth Hum’ Announcement

We’re delighted to announce ‘Earth Hum’: our first studio EP, recorded and produced by our new label Upcycled Sounds.

It contains four songs: two brand new and two upcycled versions of our older songs.

The EP will be out on all digital platforms on 6 April 2018.

It will also be available on limited edition cassette, with artwork by Adam Lalak: you can preorder these here.

Joe in Paris

Joe spent a week in Paris in December, working on a collaborative alt-folk EP with Upcycled Sounds.

The EP will consist of 4 traditional songs and tunes from around the world, reworked by 9 jazz, folk and electronic musicians, and should materialise later this year.

The musicians were Hannah Jakes on keys and accordion, Lauren Spicely on fiddle, Jack Ó hAonghusa on flute, Rémi Allain on double bass, Phil Biood on drums, Martha Wiltshire on cello, Dan on guitars and Nikó O’Brien producing.
